Why .co.uk & Not .com?

Hi! So you’ve found my easter egg… Well then. Since you’re here, let me tell you a quick story. Why does my website end with .co.uk and not the usual .com? Simply put, by the time I wanted to purchase my domain, the .com was already taken — shocker, I know. But honestly, that’s kind of how life goes sometimes. Ever since my secondary school days here in Malaysia going through the Cambridge O-Levels, I’ve had this weird, unshakable love for everything British. I’ve always dreamed of having proper tea, walking the streets of London, and maybe even living there permanently one day. You know, being an anglophile myself, thinking of all the typical anglophile stuffs. — the quirky humor, the classic music, and yes, the obsession with the weather. Heck! a close family member was also studying in Nottingham, UK whilst I was in my secondary education period. So, choosing .co.uk for my domain wasn’t just about availability; it felt like a way to keep that dream alive, show my love for England and the United Kingdom, and honestly, it just sounds a bit cooler, maybe not to you but to me, than the usual .com. Thanks for your time reading this long explanation.
